Hockley Valley Brewing Company is proud to be a beverage sponsor for Competitive Painting Art Battle

The paint will fly at the Alton Mill Arts Centre on Saturday February 7th from 6-9 pm, as twelve artists go head to head at Headwaters Art Battle #217. Hosted by Club Art and the Alton Mill Arts Centre, painters will create the best work they can in twenty minutes, as patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process unfold. The audience will decide the winner of each round, and all the pieces created during the course of the battles will be available for silent auction.

Overseen by Art Battle Canada, the competitive painting event is now in its sixth season, created to encourage a better understanding of how art is made, and an appreciation for the talent and dedication required to become a successful artist. A portion of ticket revenues will be donated to Club Art, an organization dedicated to the establishment of a permanent youth art space in Orangeville.

The winner of this Art Battle will receive $100 and move on to the regional championship on May 22nd, with a chance to compete at the National Championship in July, 2015.

A cash bar, great music, and energetic artists adds up to a great time. Tickets are $10 online at www.artbattle.ca, or $15 at the door.
